    An early start from Trichy via Karur and Mettupalayam, then the hairpin climb through Coonoor's tea country. Check in and unwind with an evening walk around Ooty Lake and the boathouse.

    Coonoor & descent to Coimbatore

    Ride a stretch of the Nilgiri Mountain Railway to Coonoor if you like (book ahead), then Sim's Park, Lamb's Rock and Dolphin's Nose with a tea-factory stop, before descending to Coimbatore for the night.

    Coimbatore surroundings & return

    Morning darshan at the Marudamalai hill temple and the 112-ft Adiyogi statue at the Velliangiri foothills, then a comfortable run back to Trichy — or a drop at Coimbatore airport if you're flying out.

Can the tour end at Coimbatore airport instead of returning to Trichy?

Yes — many travellers fly out of Coimbatore (CJB) on day 4 after the Adiyogi visit. Tell us on WhatsApp and we'll quote the loop with an airport drop instead of the return leg.

How do we book the Nilgiri Mountain Railway toy train?

Toy-train seats sell out early in season — book on IRCTC as soon as your dates are fixed. Your driver drops you at Ooty station and meets you at Coonoor, so you ride the prettiest stretch without doubling back.

Is day 1 too long from Trichy?

It's about 280 km and 6–7 hours with breaks. Leaving Trichy by 6am puts you on the ghat before lunch and into Ooty by mid-afternoon — tiring but comfortably done in an SUV.
